The purpose of this blog is to examine the intersection of the ideas and theories of some of my favorite thinkers, Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky, Rene Girard, and Benoit Mandelbrot, and apply them to current ideas and events that seem worth discussion or application.
I have described these individuals in the "The Master Crafters" link above. I have summarized their ideas under "The Lenses" on a single page and on three sub-pages. If you have found your way here, I hope you find it interesting and enjoyable. My next three posts will examine the intersections between The Lenses. Comments, which I am not expecting in the near future, should be respectful and on topic, and will be moderated.

I have always been curious about the way the world works and the most elegant ideas for describing and explaining it. I think I have found three of them. I was very fond of James Burke's Connections series that explored interesting intersections between ideas, and hope to create some of that magic here. Archives
